(Posted on Thursday, December 28, 2006)

The government of Gibraltar has gazetted the "Bank and Public Holidays Order(No.2) 2006" (LN. 2006/160), which declares Monday, January 29, 2007, as a one-off bank and public holiday.

The aforementioned Public Holidays Order confirms last week's announcement (20-Dec-2006) by the Government of Gibraltar that it would declare a one-off public holiday on Monday, January 29, 2007, to mark the approval of the New Constitution by the Privy Council.

The last one-off public holiday to be declared in Gibraltar was the Tercentenary Holiday (11-Sep-2003).
