South Korea Celebrates the 560th Hangeul Day

The 560th Hangeul Day, which falls on Oct. 9, in 2006, was re-designated a national holiday last year, but considering the increased number of holidays following the adoption of the five-day workweek, the government did not make it a legal day off.
