Source: La Voz del Interior

Official confirmation of 2007 public holidays in Argentina. Argentina will have 13 public holidays in 2007. Nine of these are non-moveable, three move from weekdays to the closest Monday. This year 2 of the public holidays will fall on a Saturday.

Non-National Public Holidays: Some officially decreed public holidays will not apply to everyone. Jueves Santo (Maundy Thursday) is only celebrated by civil servants.

Rosh Hashana (September 12-13) and Yom Kipur (September 22) are days off only for Jews. Muslims are also entitled to their 2 Eid holidays (although the dates have not yet been fixed by the govenment).

The School Year will start on March 5 and finish on December 7, with the winter school holidays tentatively scheduled for the period of July 9-20.
