After some hesitations during the months of June and July, the government finally decided to move the commemoration of the death of General San Martín public holiday to the following Monday, as has been the recent practice.

Recall that last year (07-Jun-2006), the, April 2, Malvinas Day (officially called "Día del veterano y los caídos en la Guerra de Malvinas") was changed to a non-moveable holiday, regardless of the weekday on which it occurs, while the newly-created, March 24, "Día Nacional por la Memoria, la Verdad y la Justicia" public holiday (15-Mar-2006) was also made immoveable (este feriado no será movible).
