On Monday, December 31, 2007, on the day when the Euro becomes legal tender in Cyprus, banks will not transact business with customers.
This one-off special bank holiday was declared by the Central Bank to ensure a smooth changeover from the Cyprus pound to the Euro, on January 1, 2008.
