The government of Latvia has declared Monday, November 19, 2007, as a one-off, day in lieu, public holiday, due to the fact that Independence Day falls on a Sunday this year.
This follows the de facto rule that was introiduced in the Saeima (Latvia's Parliament) in 2006, but was never approved in its final reading (25-May-2006).
