Bosnia and Herzegovina Announces Ramadan Dates

(Posted on Tuesday, August 5, 2008)

Source: B92 (Belgrade)

An official with the Islamic Sheikdom of Bosnia, Subhi Wassim, announced that the Muslim religious authorities in Bosnia, Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Slovenia had agreed to observe the start of the month of Ramadan on September 1, 2008.

This date seems to be based on the Turkish DIB Muslim Calendar, meaning that Bosnia will, in all likelihood, observe the End of Ramadan public holiday on September 30, 2008, a day earlier than many other countries.
