Puerto Rico's Governor, Aníbal Acevedo Vilá, announced through the state human resources agency (ORHELA), that public sector workers would be on holiday, Friday, November 28, 2008, to bridge the gap between the Thanksgiving public holiday and the upcoming weekend.
This day, in principle, is to be recuperated or deducted from annual leave entitlements, and is is no way an addition to the earlier released list of official 2008 public holidays in Puerto Rico (14-Jun-2007).
