The Bulgarian Cabinet has declared a national day of mourning, tomorrow, Friday, May 29th, 2009, following an accident in southern Bulgaria, where 16 people were mowed by a bus, earlier today.
That date will not be an official public holiday,and indeed, Saturday, May 30, will be a regular working day (20-Apr-2009), however, the Prime Minister of Bulgaria, Sergey Stanishev and the Ministers of the Cabinet have appealed to citizens and political organizations to cancel all events on that date.
For his part, Bulgaria's President, Georgi Parvanov, has canceled his participation in all events planned for the next several days as well as the State sponsored prom night for orphan children.
