Gibraltar's main trade union confederation, TGWU/Unite, has announced that it will be campaigning to make International Women’s Day (March 8) an annual paid public holiday.
The announcement was made at a meeting where the union reiterated its request that the Government to re-establish the 1st of May as the Labour Day public holiday (29-Apr-2008).
