In a recent interview, Mariano Beltranena, the president of Guatemala's Chamber of Tourism (Cámara Guatemalteca de Turismo, or Camtur), has indicated that his organization will sponsor a new law to move mid-week public holidays to the nearest Friday or Monday, as is done in many other Latin American countries.
