A communiqué issued today by Jordan's Prime Minister, Nader Dahabi, has announced a public sector bridge holiday for Sunday, May 24, 2009, to coincide with the May 25 Independence Day public holiday.
As such, all ministries, government departments and public institutions will observe an official public holiday on that date.
Note that weekends in Jordan are Fridays and Saturdays, meaning that the public sector should benefit from a 4-day holiday.
