The Director of Press Affairs for Nigeria's State of Yobe, Abdullahi Bego, announced that a two-day public holiday had been declared by the Yobe State government in honour of the immediate past governor, Alhaji Mamman Ali, who died on Tuesday.
The period of public holidays will run from Thursday to Friday, January 29-30, 2009.
