The date of the upcoming Presidential inauguration has been announced as Wednesday, July 1st, 2009. Inauguration day is an official public holiday in Panama.
In 1999 and 2004, the Presidential inauguration was held on September 1st, but the date was brought forward by 2 months this time around.
