The government of Puno's regional government has declared an official regional public holiday on account of the 341st anniversary of the foundation of the city of Puno on Wednesday, November 4th, 2009.
As per the recent Decreto de Urgencia Nș 099-2009 which cancels all public service closings except for January 1st, May 1st, July 28-29, and December 25 (19-Oct-2009), one would expect the federal public sector to be excluded from the above declaration.
