Sri Lanka's banks, and its stock market (the Colombo Stock Exchange), will be closed tomorrow afternoon, Friday, May 15, 2009.
Banks will open from 08:30 to 13:00, while trading on the Colombo Stock Exchange will occur from 09:30 and 12:00.
This bank and financial sector holiday was initially supposed to last all day, but yesterday, the Colombo Stock Exchange issued a statement that this one-off holiday would only cover the afternoon.
