The Government of Trinidad and Tobago has announced that Saturday , October 17, 2009, would be the date of the upcoming Diwali public holiday in Trinidad and Tobago.
This date follows the frequent tradition, in Trinidad and Tobago, of using the South Indian method of calculation Divali, as was the case, for example, in 2005 (07-Oct-2005), but not in 2007 (10-Aug-2007).
