The Premier of Australia's State of Queensland, Anna Bligh, has ruled-out the declaration of a new, June 6, Queensland Day, public holiday.
In a written response to MP Aidan McLindon, tabled in State Parliament, the Premier said that she had no plans to change the existing list of public holidays enshrined in Queensland law.
The aforementioned proposal echoes similar discussions, last year, in Australia's Northern Territory (04-Jul-2009).
