Ghana's Minister of the Interior, Martin A.B.K. Amidu, has issued a statement confirming that Thursday, July 1, 2010, would be a statutory public holiday.
The minister did not, however, mention a possible date for the upcoming Population and Housing Census which is usually preceeded by the declaration of Census Night, usually on a Sunday, followed by a Monday public holiday (18-Sep-2009).
