The Labour and Social Affairs Ministry of Hungary (SZMM), has released the official list of bridge, and other one-off, public holidays for the year 2011, along with the list of Saturdays that will be regular working days, in compensation.
The system of bridge public holidays, compensated by working Saturdays, was introduced in Hungary starting in 2007 (12-Sep-2006) and was repeated every year since then (20-Nov-2007, 22-Jul-2008, 29-Sep-2009).
As usual, the aforementioned applies to both the private and public sectors ("E rendelet hatálya kiterjed minden munkáltatóra és az általuk foglalkoztatottakra").
