Jordan's Prime Minister, Samir Rifai, has issued a communique stating that all ministries, government departments and public institutions would observe an official public holiday on Saturday, May 1, 2010, on the occasion of the upcoming International Labor Day.
The Jordanian government often (25-Apr-2006), though not systematically (25-Apr-2005), moves mid-week public holidays to the nearest weekend.
