The Kenyan Government is considering declaring February 28 as an annual national public holiday to commemorate the signing of the February 28, 2008, National Peace Accord.
The idea for this public holiday, to be called the "National Thanksgiving and Cohesion Day", was raised at a meeting, today, between President Kibaki, Prime Minister Raila Odinga and members of the National Cohesion and Integration Commission at Nairobi's Harambee House.
