Macedonia Declares November 19 Public Holiday

(Posted on Wednesday, November 17, 2010)

Source: Macedonian Information Agency (MIA)

The government of Macedonia has declared Friday, November 19, 2010, as the 6th Tree-Planting national non-working public holiday.

This additional non-working public holiday will be compensated by the Saturday, November 27, 2010, having been declared a regular working day.

This is the 6th such public holiday (28-Mar-2010, 12-Nov-2009, 18-Nov-2008, 12-Mar-2008) since 2008. Usually one is held in the spring and one in the fall (although the spring 2009 tree planting day was held on a Saturday).
