Moldova's interim president, Mihai Ghimpu, has signed a decree declaring that June 28 as "Day of Soviet Occupation".
Although June 28 will not be a non-working public holiday, all entertainment activities will be cancelled and at 10 am the entire republic will plunge into silence for a minute.
