Nicaragua's Ministry of Labour has released a communique confirming that, in accordance with Article 66 of Nicaragua's Labour Code, the date of the upcoming Labour Day public holiday would be Saturday, May 1st, 2010.
Minister of Labour, Jeannette Chávez Gomez, went on to comment that there would be no day in lieu public holiday on Monday, May 3, 2010, as per Article 68 of Nicaragua's Labour Code.
Note, however, that some May Day bridge public holidays have been declared by MITRAB in the past (29-Apr-2008).
