The Federal Government of Pakistan has announced that the date of the upcoming Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Prophet's Birthday) public holiday had been revised to Saturday, February 27, 2010.
Late last year (24-Dec-2009), Pakistan's Ministry of Interior, in consultation with Karachi's Meteorological Department, had issued the expected dates for public and optional holidays for the calendar year 2010, which included the Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Prophet's Birthday) public holiday on Friday, February 26, 2010, although as usual, the announcement did specify that its dates for Muslim public holidays were subject to revision (16-Sep-2009 and 20-Aug-2009).
