The Cayman Islands Department of Employment Relations has issued a clarification on the consequences of the upcoming Christmas Day and New Year's Day public holidays both falling on a Sunday.
As per the aforementioned statement, the upcoming Christmas Day and Boxing Day public holidays will be observed on Monday and Tuesday, December 26 and 27, 2011, and as such Sunday, December 25, 2011, will be considered a regular working day (ie. not a public holiday).
Similarly, the upcoming New Year's Day public holiday will be observed on Monday, January 2, 2012, and as such Sunday, January 1, 2012, will be considered a regular working day (ie. not a public holiday).
