China's General Office of the State Council has released China's official list of 2012 public holidays, including the list of working Saturdays and Sundays that compensate for some of the bridge public holidays and for the traditional spring and fall, week-long, Golden Week public holidays.
The "Circular on Arrangement of Certain Holidays in 2012" (guobanfamingdian [2011] No.45) moves some of the weekend non-working days to Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays that adjoin mid-week one-day public holidays, as well as declaring a 7-day Golden Week in the spring and in the fall, as was done in previous years (11-Dec-2010, 08-Dec-2009, 10-Dec-2008, 14-Dec-2006, 22-Dec-2005, 20-Dec-2004, and 19-Dec-2003).
