The government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo has announced that Tuesday, December 20, 2011, had been declared a one-off non-working public holiday (jour férié et chômé sur toute l'étendue du territoire national).
The aforementioned one-off public holiday was declared to coincide with the upcoming inauguration of President Joseph Kabila to a second term.
