A bill has been introduced in the Dominican Republic's house of representatives which would declare December 1st as a new annual non-working public holiday.
The aforementioned projecto de ley número 18.333 would convert the current commemorative date of December 1st into an official non-working public holiday for the "Día Nacional de la Abolición del Ejército".
