Iraq's Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki, has declared tomorrow, Saturday, December 31, 2011, as a non-working national public holiday, to be named "Iraq Day".
Apparently the aforementioned December 31 non-working national public holiday is to be an annual non-working public holiday.
However such announcements are to be taken with a grain of salt as one will recall that 3 years ago (02-Jan-2009), Iraq's prime minister, Nouri al-Maliki, announced that he would ask the Council of Ministers and the Presidency Council to declare January 1st as a national holiday, from now, called "Sovereignty Day", following a request (10-Dec-2008).
