Mozambique's Ministry of Labour (MITRAB) has announced that Wednesday, December 7, 2011, had been declared a one-off public holiday on account of the upcoming municipal by-elections.

As per the aforementioned announcement the upcoming one-off non-working public holiday in Mozambique will extend to Quelimane, Pembia and Cuamba.

The Mozambique Labour Ministry regularly declares one-off electoral public holidays "to allow the maximum number of people to vote" (11-Jan-2010, 26-Oct-2009 and 17-Nov-2008).
