As expected, Pakistan's Prime Minister, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, has announced a half-day national public holiday (from 12:00 noon) on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, on the occasion of the cricket semi-final match between India and Pakistan.

Yesterday (28-Mar-2011), Pakistan's Federal Interior Secretary, Chaudhry Qamar Zaman, had announced that he had sent a recommendation that a one-off public holiday be declared on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, on account of the cricket semi-final between Pakistan and India on that date.

In a separate announcement, Sindh Governor, Ishratul Ibad Khan, and Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, announced a full-day public holiday in the Pakistani Province of Sindh, also for Wednesday, March 30, 2011, on the occasion of the cricket semi-final match between India and Pakistan.
