Yesterday (21-Aug-2011), Puerto Rico's interim Governor, Kenneth McClintock, had already declared Monday, August 22, 2011, as a one-off non-working public sector holiday, this time on account of the upcoming tropical storm Irene.
And a few weeks ago (02-Aug-2011 and 31-Jul-2011), Tuesday, August 2, 2011, and Wednesday, August 3, 2011, had been declared a one-off non-working public sector holiday on account of tropical storm Emily.
In previous years (30-Aug-2010 and 03-Sep-2009) these one-off public sector holidays were usually limited to the afternoon.
