Saudi Arabia Declares March 19 Public Holiday

The government of Saudi Arabia has declared tomorrow, Saturday, March 19, 2011, as another one-off public holiday throughout the Kingdom.

As per the communique, issued on behalf of Saudi King, Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the aforementioned public holiday will apply to "all sectors of the state".

The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) later issued a similar statement announcing that it would remain closed on Saturday, March 19, 2011.

Another one-off public holiday was declared in Saudi Arabia, recently (22-Feb-2011).
