Some of the local government agencies of Iceland, as well as many of the private sector companies in Iceland, have announced that they would observe a half-day non-working public holiday on Friday, June 19, 2015, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of women obtaining the right to vote in Iceland.

The aforementioned half-day non-working public holiday on Friday, June 19, 2015, would be in addition to the June 17 annual non-working public holiday in Iceland (24-Dec-2014, 11-Dec-2013, 25-Nov-2012, 04-Dec-2011 and 14-Nov-2010).
