Nigerian Easter 2016 Public Holidays

The acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior of the Federal Government of Nigeria, Alhaji Muhammadu Maccido, on behalf of the Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, has announced that the Nigerian Government had declared Friday, March 25, and Monday, March 28, 2016, as non-working public holidays to commemorate this year's upcoming Good Friday and Easter Monday non-working public holidays in Nigeria, respectively.

The aforementioned declaration of Friday, March 25, and Monday, March 28, 2016, as non-working public holidays is in line with past declarations of Easter public holidays in Nigeria (01-Apr-2015, 15-Apr-2014, 26-Mar-2013, 31-Mar-2012, 20-Apr-2011 and 29-Mar-2010), and was issued on the behalf of the Minister of Interior of the Federal Government of Nigeria, Abba Moro, by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Abubakar Magaji.
