The government of Iran has declared a one-off non-working public holiday in Iran on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, on the day of the upcoming burial of former president Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, who died last night.

The aforementioned declaration of a one-off non-working public holiday in Iran on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, on the day of the upcoming burial of former president Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, is in addition to the list of official public holidays in Iran for 2016-2017, for the Persian year 1395, running from March 20, 2016, to March 20, 2017, announced a year ago (12-Mar-2016).
