Romanian Public Holiday January 23

(Posted on Tuesday, January 17, 2017)

Source: Mediafax (Bucharest)

Romanian Prime Minister, Sorin Grindeanu, has announced that the Romanian government Cabinet had decided to declare Monday, January 23, 2017, as a one-off bridge public holiday in Romania, to link the new annual Romanian public holiday of January 24, commemorating the Day of Unification of the Romanian Principalities, with the preceding weekend.

The aforementioned declaration of Monday, January 23, 2017, as a one-off bridge public holiday in Romania, to link the new annual Romanian public holiday of January 24, commemorating the Union of Romanian Principalities, with the preceding weekend, thus amends the lists of public holidays for 2017 in Romania (01-Dec-2016), though only for the Romanian public sector.
