Oman Announces End of Ramadan Public Holidays For Private And Public Sectors

Source: Khaleej Times (Muscat) - Summary: Minister Diwan of Royal Court and Chairman of the Civil Service Council, Sayyid Ali bin Hamoud Al Busaidy, announced that all ministries and other state organisations would be given 4 days of holidays on the occasion of the upcoming Eid al Fitr public holidays.

In a separate announcement, Minister of Manpower, Shaikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Bakri, told the private sector that they would benefit from 3 days of holidays, also on the occasion of the upcoming Eid al Fitr public holidays.

These public and private sector public holidays are understood to be in addition to the usual 2-day weekend of the public sector and the 1-day weekend of the private sector.
