Pakistan Shifts End of Ramadan Public Holidays

Source: The Frontier Post (Islamabad) - Summary: According to a press release from Pakistan's Ministry of the Interior, the dates of the upcoming Eid-ul- Fitr public holiday have been shifted from the previously announced dates of October 2-4 to the period of Wednesday to Friday, October 1 to 3, 2008.

In addition, the Federal Government has announced that financial institutions including banks, the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) and the Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited (CDC) will be also be closed from October 1 to October 3, 2008.
