Governing Law: Official public holidays in the Gabon are regulated by the "Décret, n°000484/PR/MTE du 26 mai 2004", which amended parts of the 1998 Décret no 727/PR/MTEFP du 28 juin 1998 réglementant le régime des jours fériés, which itself repealed the 1992 Décret no 715/PR/MTEFPRH du 3 avril 1992 modifiant la réglementation du régime des jours fériés en République gabonaise. • National Day: Since 2002, the official National Day celebrations take place in 2 different regional capitals every year, in a rotation that is called "fêtes tournantes". In 2006, however, National Day returned to the capital, Libreville . • Renovation Day (March 12) and Martyrs' Day (May 6) appeared a few years ago on one of the online list of Gabon public holidays, and has since been re-copied onto multiple websites.
