    Etats Généraux de l’Outre-Mer - Since yesterday, July 15, 2007, Saint-Martin is an independent French overseas administrative area and is no longer a part of Guadeloupe, and as such it has been officially confirmed that May 27 will no longer be a public holiday in Saint Martin.
