The Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, M. Chigir, has issued a decree declaring Friday, November 8, 1996, as a one-off non-working bridge public holiday in Belarus on account of the upcoming October Revolution Day annual public holiday of Belarus on Thursday, November 7, 1996.

As usual in similar past cases, in compensation for the Friday, November 8, 1996, one-off non-working public holiday, the Decision of the Council of Ministers No.681 specifies that Saturday, November 16, 1996, will be a regular working day throughout the Republic of Belarus.
