Philippines Declares October 31 And November 2 One-Off Public Holidays

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo (PGMA) declared Wednesday, October 31, and Friday, November 2, 2001, special non-working public holidays to enable workers to pay homage to their dead during the All Saints' Day weekend.

A few years ago (1998-10-28), November 2 was also declared a one-off non-working public holiday in the Philippines.
