The Algerian public sector ministry (Direction Générale de la Fonction Publique) has announced that Tuesday and Wednesday, November 25-26, 2003, had been declared as paid non-working public holidays (journées chômées et payées) on account of the upcoming Aïd El-Fitr (End of Ramadan).
The aforementioned declaration of Tuesday and Wednesday, November 25-26, 2003, as paid non-working public holidays follows an earlier communiqué by the Algerian Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments (Ministère des Affaires religieuses et du Wakf) and is in line with the "loi n° 63-278 du 26 juillet 1963" which regulates non-working public holidays in Algeria.
