Liberia Declares October 11 Public Holiday

Liberia's transitional Chairman, Gyude Bryant, has declared Tuesday, October 11, 2005, as the date of the upcoming election day.

As such, a foreign ministry statement announced that the day was to be observed as an official non-working public holiday in Liberia.
