Namibia Clarifies 2005 Year-End Public Holidays

The permanent secretary of Namibia's Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Loini Katoma, has issued a statement clarifying the 2005 dates for the Christmas public holiday and the Family Day public holiday.

As per the Ministry statement, there will be no day in lieu public holiday on December 27, in 2005, as the Public Holidays Amendment stipulates that "When a public holiday falls on a Sunday the following Monday shall also be a public holiday, unless that Monday is a public holiday".
