Tonga's government says November 4 is to be designated as Tonga National Day.

Tonga's Privy Council has also approved that the Coronation of the new King, George Tupou V, will be held on August 1 next year.

This follows last September's death of King Taufa'ahau Tupou IV (18-Sep-2006).
