Bolivia's Cochamba Department Declares August 16 Public Holiday

Prefect Manfred Reyes Villa declared Thursday, august 16, 2007, as a public holiday for all government employees of the Department of Cochabamba (in central Bolivia) on the occasion of the celebration of the Calvario de la festividad de la Virgen de Urkupiña.

Private sector employers are encouraged to also observe the public holiday.
